Download iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 Over-the-Air
This is the method everyone is going to use in order to download the new update. It’s quick, easy, and gets you on to the new software without much hassle. Here’s what you need to do:
- Make sure your iPhone or iPad has 50% or more battery life remaining.
- Connect to a Wi-Fi network.

Downgrade iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 Back to iOS 26 and iPadOS 26?
This option is available for an extremely limited period of time. You can just skip installing iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 entirely by choosing iOS 26.7 or iPadOS 26.7 in the Software Update section.
