iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 developer beta 3 is now ready for download and install on all compatible iPhone and iPad models.

Developer Beta 3 of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 Now Available for Download with Bug Fixes, Improved Performance, and More

Beta 2 of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 have been around for quite some time, and I’m sure you’ve been looking forward to beta 3. Today, the third beta of the update is available, and if beta 2 is an indication of anything, then we can expect more stability and performance improvements in the latest update.

In order to download and install the new beta, follow these steps:

  • Make sure your device has 50% or more battery.
  • Connect your iPhone or iPad to a Wi-Fi network.
  • Launch the Settings app.
  • Go to General > Software Update.
  • Wait for a while and you’ll see the beta 3 update. Tap on the Update Now button.

iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 developer beta 3 has the following build number: 24A5380h

The installation may take a while in some cases, something that is to be expected from beta software. Once done, you can start using your iPhone and iPad normally.

If you’re interested in taking the update for a spin on your iPhone and iPad, you’ll find all the necessary details posted here. And if you want to downgrade back to iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 instead, check out the tutorial posted here.

The first beta of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 was way more stable than Apple’s publicly available iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 software. That’s not just me saying that, a lot of people noticed it too.

Beta 2 refined that experience even further even though you’d want to believe there’s no room for more improvement. It remains to be seen if beta 3 does the same thing again, and I won’t be surprised if it makes the iPhone and iPad even faster than beta 2.

This is the sort of software magic Apple needs to pull off on a regular basis. Sure, new features are cool and all, but sometimes you want to take two steps back and refine everything that’s already there, and that’s what iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 is all about.

If you’re running the second beta of iOS 27 or iPadOS, I will highly recommend installing the latest one immediately. If there’s something broken on a system level, a new beta usually fixes it. But when it comes to third-party software, that’s up to the developers whether or not they want to add a little bit of support for unfinished and unreleased firmware.

Then again, in my experience, iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 have been fantastic updates, and I haven’t seen a single issue in my daily use.
