Apple has announced visionOS 26 with Spatial Widgets, superbly improved personas, and a lot more.

visionOS 26 Builds on the Solid Foundations of visionOS 2 by Bringing Spatial Widgets, Improved Personas, and More to the Table

This is the only operating system in Apple’s lineup that doesn’t get the Liquid Glass update, because visionOS is exactly where the redesign originated from.

Spatial Widgets

With Spatial Widgets, you can place your favorite ones in places around your home, and they’ll always appear where you put them whenever you put on your Vision Pro.

Calendar in the office? It will always be there. Photos widget on your living room wall? Exactly where you left it.

Improved Personas

Personas were already great, but they definitely looked ‘fake.’ With VisionOS 26, Personas are getting a massive update and look more close to real life than they ever did.

Spatial Scenes

Using generative AI, Spatial Photos come to life on Vision Pro, with more depth and detail than ever before.

Native Playback of 180 and 360-Degree Content

Whether you’re watching a 180-degree or a 360-degree video from Insta360, GoPro, or Canon, it’s all native in visionOS 26.

PlayStation VR2 Controller Support

VisionOS 26 adds the long-awaited PlayStation VR2 controller support to Vision Pro.

Unlock iPhone Using Vision Pro

With VisionOS 26 running on Vision Pro, you can unlock your iPhone with the headset on. Just make sure your iPhone is running iOS 26 too.

Look to Scroll

You can now scroll through apps and webpages just by looking at them. Third-party developers will be able to integrate this feature into their apps.

Pick up iPhone Voice Calls on Vision Pro

You can now pick up your iPhone voice calls using your Vision Pro headset.
