Apple has announced that the first public beta of iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS 26 Tahoe will be available next month.

iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS 26 Public Beta will be Available for Download Next Month

iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS 26 Tahoe are now official. With the first developer betas of the updates available today, the public beta did get a mention on Apple’s website as well.

As always, the public beta will be available later, or more precisely, next month. Apple didn’t give the exact date, but if past releases are anything to go by, then the pubic beta should arrive when we have at least three developer betas out.

Though it’s exciting to try out betas, initial developer-oriented builds are extremely unstable. I was reading a post on social media just now about how someone’s iPhone now doubles as an ambient heater after installing iOS 26 beta.

These things happen, and it’s completely normal too. From app crashes to an iPhone heating up for no reason, it happens when testing out a beta.

Anyway, if you are interested in installing the iOS 26 developer beta, iPadOS 26 developer beta, or the macOS 26 developer beta, I have you covered.

But in all honesty, I’m not going to recommend installing the developer beta on your primary device. Borrow someone’s old iPhone or iPad in order to test it out instead.

Beta number one is never worth the risk since you may even end up losing your data from iCloud in some cases. I’ve seen people lose their entire photo libraries while testing out betas, I really can’t emphasize on this enough.
