You now have the option to save a thread on Threads as an image file using your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
Threads Now Allows Users to Save a Thread as an Image File with Great Customization Options on iPhone, iPad, and Mac
Before I move forward, it’s worth mentioning that this feature is only available on the web, not in the app. But I’m certain it will eventually make it to the app in the coming weeks or months as a software update.
Saving a thread as an image file will definitely come in handy, especially if you want to share something with someone without directing them to the Threads website. After all, sharing images is a huge deal these days, no?
Obviously.
The cool thing is, you get a bunch of customization options while saving the thread as an image file too. You get to choose the background color, for example. Though there are just two options – white and black – but it’s a nice touch.
The second option allows you to hide metrics from the image. Which means you can hide the number of likes the thread has, the number of shares, and more. It’s great for sharing a nice and clean image, great for creating something aesthetic.
Here’s what you have to do in order to save a thread on Threads as an image file:
Step 1. Launch the Threads website in Safari.
Step 2. Open the thread you want to save as an image file.
Step 3. Click or tap on the Share button.

Step 4. Now simply tap on ‘Copy as image.’

Step 5. Choose the background color, and select whether you want to hide or show the metrics. You can even select the size in which the image will be saved – you have the option of Square, Instagram or Auto.

Step 6. Click on Copy if you want to paste the image to a place of your choice, or just click on the ‘Download’ button next to it and it will be saved to your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
