Apple Music is now making switching from other services, such as Spotify, way easier, if you live in the right country, that is.

Apple Partners with SongShift to Move Your Playlists and Songs from Other Services to Apple Music

Switching from one music service to the other is never an easy task, especially if you have a lot of playlists of music and tracks at hand. For this reason alone, a lot of users just give up on the idea of switching.

However, if you have been thinking about switching to Apple Music, then the process is way easier than before, and Apple is utilizing the help of an existing service called SongShift.

Using your iPhone, iPad, Android phone, or the web, you can initiate the process in a few taps or clicks. However, there is a caveat, and it’s a huge one before you decide to use this tool.

It’s currently only available in Australia and New Zealand. However, I do believe this service will start to roll out in other countries as well, but if you do live in the aforementioned ones, then you’re golden.

Users should also know that not all tracks would be available when making the switch. If that happens, Apple Music will ask you to choose alternatives if there are any.

If there’s a playlist that is created by the music service itself, it won’t be transferred. The tool only supports playlists that are exclusively created by a user, not the service.

I will do a tutorial on this in the coming days, in which I will try to make things as easy as possible to understand.
