You can now access and use Gemini AI right inside Google Maps when you’re using Apple CarPlay in your vehicle.
Gemini AI Comes to Google Maps in CarPlay – Get Directions, Report Traffic Incidents, and so Much More
If you use Google Maps to get around your city, then there’s great news for you, especially if you use Apple CarPlay. Google has announced that Gemini is now available in Google Maps, and you can talk to it directly to get directions and find places of interest near you.
Since Gemini is a full-blown AI, you can talk to it naturally in order to get to your destination, find a decent parking spot, and get good coffee spot recommendations based on ratings, that too on your way to your destination.
Want to report a traffic incident? You can do that too with Gemini. Want to change your route? Again, ask Gemini and it will help you out.
I tried Gemini in Google Maps, and it works as advertised. You press the Gemini button on the map, and then you can start talking to it immediately.
Just make sure you have the latest Google Maps for iPhone version installed and you should see Gemini in CarPlay whenever you are out on a drive.
