visionOS 2.5 update for the Vision Pro has finally arrived and you can download it right away over the air.
The Final Version of visionOS 2.5 is Now Available for Download and Install for Vision Pro Around the World
Though not as big as visionOS 2.4 which brought Apple Intelligence to Vision Pro, visionOS 2.5 is still important because it fixes a lot of bugs and includes a bunch of security updates.
There is one thing noteworthy in this update, and that’s a new Vision tab in the Apple TV app. It allows you to easily discover immersive content for the Vision Pro headset.
In order to download the latest visionOS 2.5 update, all you have to do is go to Settings > General > Software Update and then select Update Now.
It is a good idea to leave your Vision Pro plugged in to power until the installation is complete. And once it’s done, unplug it and start using it as you normally would.
Compared to visionOS 1, visionOS 2 is a very big update. And it will be interesting to see what Apple is planning for visionOS 3.
Though iOS 19 will revolve around the visionOS design language, I really hope this doesn’t mean Vision Pro gets the least amount of changes from everything Apple announces next month at WWDC 2025.
visionOS 3 might even give us a glimpse into the future of the Vision headset lineup as well. Who knows the software update slips out a thing or two regarding the cheaper model, a device which is being dubbed as the Vision Air.
