The iPhone 17e is back in the news, with the cheaper iPhone rumored to feature the Dynamic Island, again.

iPhone 17e with Dynamic Island is Back in the News, Will Have a 60Hz Panel Like the iPhone 16e

A little while back, the iPhone 17e was rumored to feature the Dynamic Island instead of the notch. Today, Digital Chat Station has jumped into the scene (once again) with new leaked information regarding the smartphone.

The leaker said that the new iPhone will feature a 6.1-inch display that will be locked at 60Hz. This means the smartphone will be very pocketable and feature a refresh rate that sits well with the average audience, so no surprises here.

But the leaker said that the iPhone 17e will feature a Dynamic Island instead of the notch.

Given these details, it is reasonable to believe that the iPhone 17e will resemble the iPhone 16 (the smaller one) but with a single camera at the back.

We can also expect the upcoming iPhone to feature either the C1 modem or the C1X. Not so sure about the N1 chip just yet.

I do wish Apple makes the switch to the N1 wireless chip, because that will make the 17e a battery king instantly while bringing features like Wi-Fi 7 to the low price segment. And given Apple is designing these chips itself, I will be surprised if it doesn’t make the switch already.
