Apple has released iOS 26.2 and iPadOS 26.2 beta 1 for developers with iPhone and iPad, and it’s available to download today.

The First Developer Beta of iOS 26.2 and iPadOS 26.2 Now Available for Download and Install

Apple kicked off the week with the release of iOS 26.1 and iPadOS 26.1 for iPhone and iPad. Today, the development and behind-the-scenes work continues with the release of iOS 26.2 and iPadOS 26.2.

At the time of writing, it’s too early to speculate what is new in this update, but I will post a list of every single notable change Apple is working on for iPhone and iPad users.

If you are currently signed up as a developer with Apple – which is free, by the way – you can download iOS 26.2 or iPadOS 26.2 immediately.

Once signed up, go to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates and enable the iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 Developer Beta from here. Once down, you’ll immediately see the new beta available for download.

According to Apple, the first developer beta has the following build number: 23C5027f

I usually recommend installing betas on spare iPhone or iPad devices. But it’s entirely up to you whether you want to be adventurous and install the beta on your primary device, or one that has been sitting in a drawer for a long time.
