The leaks are coming in hot, and the latest one says Apple is going to announce a new feature for iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 called ‘Mixmoji.’

Mixmoji will Allow Users to Combine Two Emoji Together to Create a New One in iOS 26 and iPadOS 26

Apple Intelligence includes a feature called Genmoji that allows you to create a custom emoji using word prompts. Apple is taking this feature a step further with iOS 26 and iPadOS 26.

According to Bloomberg, Apple is going to announce a new feature called ‘Mixmoji.’ While the name makes sense if you already know what it is, it basically allows you to combine two emojis together to create a new one.

For example, you can choose the dinosaur and pizza emoji, and Apple Intelligence will create a mix of both. You can do this for other emoji as well.

I have this feeling this feature is going to work out much better with users compared to Genmoji alone. Because I think people are more accustomed to the emojis that are already on their device, and creating something new out of that is a far easier thing to do than creating one out of thin air using word prompts.

While this is most likely an Apple Intelligence feature, it remains to be seen if Apple brings it to older devices somehow. After all, how much compute power do emojis actually need, right?

If it’s too much, then this feature will be limited to iPhones and iPads with 8GB of RAM or more.
