iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 are set to get a visual upgrade with a glass-inspired interface. Here’s what is coming on Monday.
Apple is Bringing Huge Visual Upgrades with iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 – Here’s What You Can Expect on Monday
We keep on hearing that iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 will be a huge visual overhaul that takes its design cues from visionOS.
While Apple is set to use glass-inspired interfaces, but how exactly will that work? What will Apple even show us on Monday?
A report by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg sheds light on the situation and gives us a text-based overview of what we can expect.
Gurman says that Apple is going to put a lot of focus on light and transparency effects throughout the operating system. Not only that, app icons are getting redesigned as well, but they might not be round.
Tabs and toolbars are getting a revamp in iOS 26 and iPadOS 26, and Apple is going to focus more on pop-out menus throughout the system.
To match the overhaul aesthetics of the update, Apple is redoing Home Screen widgets, so expect some glass here too.
I’m sure developers will be given specific guidelines for this as well.
Safari and Camera are also getting redesigned, with a focus on a glass-like interface and the use of transparent menus.
Interesting, the Camera app got previewed in a leak a long time ago. This is so old that no one even imagined that Apple would call it iOS 26 back then. Just pure and simple – iOS 19.
From combining emoji together, to Preview app coming to iPhone and iPad, there’s a lot we can expect to happen on Monday. And do keep in mind that there are a ton of things we don’t even know about at this point.
