There are a lot of iPhone Duo related questions that need answering, and one of them is related to MagSafe.
Don’t Fall for the Rumors, the iPhone Duo Supports MagSafe
During its rumor phase, multiple sources claimed that in order to save space, Apple is going to drop support for MagSafe on iPhone Duo. Turns out, that’s not the case at all, and if you want confirmation, Apple’s own literature on it settles things down:
Does iPhone Duo support MagSafe and wireless charging?
Definitely. iPhone Duo supports MagSafe wireless charging and offers incredibly fast wired charging that reaches up to 50 percent in around 20 minutes.
Since we are on the topic of MagSafe, Apple says the iPhone Duo supports fast wireless charging over MagSafe as well. If you pair Apple’s latest MagSafe charger with a 35W or faster adapter, you can charge your Duo from zero to 50% in just 30 minutes.
Up to 50% charge in around 30 minutes with 35W adapter or higher paired with MagSafe Charger (both available separately)
Wired charging also gets a big upgrade, and you can expect up to 50% charge in 20 minutes using a 60W or faster USB-C adapter.
If you were worried that all your MagSafe mounts and stands would go to waste, just stop thinking about it.
