Apple has released iOS 26.6.2 and iPadOS 26.6.2 for iPhone and iPad devices with an important bug fix, download it now.

iOS 26.6.2 and iPadOS 26.6.2 Now Available for Download, Fixes an Issue that Prevents Downloading a Software Update Over Cellular

A day before Apple releases the first RC of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27, the Cupertino giant has released iOS 26.6.2 and iPadOS 26.6.2 updates. But, the moment you read its changelog, you’ll immediately realize that this is an extremely important software update.

According to Apple:

This update fixes an issue that prevents downloading a software update over a cellular connection.

In plain and simple words, if you are going to download iOS 27 or iPadOS 27 over a cellular connection next week, this update ensures that it goes through as smoothly as possible. A bug in iOS 26.6.1 and iPadOS 26.6.1 may prevent the update from downloading.

In order to download the update immediately, just go to Settings > General > Software Update, and then tap on Update Now. If the download doesn’t start over cellular, then you might want to connect to a Wi-Fi network for this one.
