You know we’ve officially entered ‘new iPhone’ territory when the online Apple Store goes down, and it currently has.
Apple Updating Online Store Ahead of ‘Surprise and Shine’ iPhone Event, Currently Unavailable for Everyone
Right before any major Apple event, the online Apple Store goes down. Keeping everything in line with tradition, the same thing has happened just now too.
At today’s event, Apple is likely going to announce the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, the iPhone Ultra (Duo?), Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4, and that’s about it on the hardware front.
We will likely get official release dates for the release of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27. If I’m to take a guess, Apple should release everything next Monday, which happens to be the 14th of September.
Right after the event, we should see the release of the RC (Release Candidate) builds of the above software.
