Apple’s 20th anniversary iPhone may feature a display which Apple might end up calling ‘Liquid Glass Display.’

Apple’s 20th Anniversary iPhone May Drop the Bezels Completely with its New ‘Liquid Glass Display’

There are all kinds of rumors surrounding the upcoming 20th anniversary iPhone. One rumor that keeps on popping up surrounds the display and how it will be completely bezel-less.

A new rumor has been shared on X by Ice Universe, and it sheds light on how Apple wants to achieve the true edge-to-edge display on its upcoming iPhone:

Apple may define its next generation display as “Liquid Glass Display.” It is not a traditional quad curved display, nor is it anything like the curved screen solutions we have seen on Android phones over the years. The curvature itself could be extremely subtle. What truly creates the visual impact may be a sophisticated combination of optical refraction, light guiding structures, and carefully engineered visual illusion.
The end result could be a display where the bezel nearly disappears from sight, while edge viewing remains natural and undisturbed. It flows like liquid, yet stays as pure and transparent as glass. This could be an entirely new display language.

If you just want to get a glimpse of what’s being said here, Apple has done something similar on a product which you already know about – the Apple Watch. Just have a look at the image below:

If all of this is true, then we’ll be looking at the most stunning smartphone display on the planet. However, do keep in mind that this is still a rumor, and it will be a while before someone else jumps in to confirm it, so take everything with a grain of salt for the time being.

In case you’re wondering, the 20th anniversary iPhone will be released in 2027, and not this year. Don’t confuse it with the upcoming iPhone Ultra, or even the iPhone 18 Pro in any way.
