You can now use Apple Pay to buy games and other content on PlayStation 5 from the PlayStation Store, and I’ll show you how it works.
Apple Pay Comes to the PlayStation Store, Use it Today to Buy Games, Add-ons and Other Content on PlayStation 5
Last year, Apple made an interesting announcement which would bring Apple Pay to work on third-party platforms and browsers.
The way it works is pretty simple as it only involves scanning a QR code using your iPhone or iPad and authenticating the remaining purchase from there.
It was only a matter of time that Apple Pay support would come to a platform like PlayStation 5, and it makes perfect sense that it should. Because games cost money, and if your Apple Pay account is already up and running, then why not use that to buy stuff, right?
I’m not going to write a step-by-step tutorial for this because it’s super easy to use. All you need is an iPhone or iPad that has Apple Pay set up, and once you’re sure of that, you’ve already done 90% of the work.
You start off by choosing the game or content you want to buy and then select ‘Add to Cart.’ Here, you’ll see Apple Pay under the ‘Select Payment Method’ option, just select it and a QR code will show up on the display.

Now, all you have to do is scan the code using the Camera app, or use the built-in QR code scanner, and the Apple Pay prompt will show up. Authenticate using Face ID or Touch ID and you’re done.
You’ve paid for your game or any other content you were planning to buy.
