Here’s how you can empty the cache in Safari for Mac in order to fix website errors, bugs, and keep content up to date.
Fix Web Browsing Issues and Errors in Safari for Mac by Simply Emptying the Cache in a Few Clicks
Emptying your browser cache from time to time can be beneficial, especially if you want to make sure that your browser loads the latest version of a website and not pull out an old one.
Not only that, clearing the cache helps fix a lot of bugs and issues too. If you’re seeing a bunch of errors while loading a webpage, or something that shouldn’t be there, then flushing the cache will take you back on track in no time.
If you are currently using Safari and wondering how you can empty the cache, this tutorial will walk you through the process from start to finish.
Enable Developer Options First
First and foremost, you have to enable developer options for Safari. I’ve covered it in detail here. Once you’ve enabled developer options, follow the steps posted below.
Tutorial
Step 1. Launch Safari.
Step 2. Click on Develop in the menu bar at the top. You’ll only see this option if you’ve enabled developer options.
Step 3. Now simply click on Empty Caches.

The keyboard shortcut for this is:
Option+Command+E
The only difficult part is enabling developer options. Once it’s enabled, you open up a doorway to a lot of great new features, including the ability to clear the cache on the fly.
I suggest giving it a try right now. Who knows, it might just fix a ton of issues you are completely unaware of.
