Registered developers with Apple can now download macOS 27 Golden Gate beta 6 on their Apple silicon Mac over the air.

Developer Beta 6 of macOS 27 Golden Gate Now Available for Download with Stability and Performance Improvements

Apple released macOS 27 developer beta 5 just a while ago, and now it’s time everyone can upgrade to beta 6. The new update, as always, introduces more stability and performance improvements, which means you should download it immediately.

Assuming you do have the previous beta installed on your Mac, follow these steps in order to download beta 6:

  • Save all your work and make sure you’re connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
  • Launch the System Settings app.
  • Click on General and then go to Software Update.
  • You’ll see developer beta 6 of macOS 27 here after a while, click on the Update Now button next to it.

The installation may take up to half an hour to complete, which is completely normal for beta updates. Once complete, you can start using your Mac normally.

Today’s macOS 27 beta 6 update will become available for public beta testers soon. Usually after 24 hours of developer beta’s release.

Just like the iOS and iPadOS betas, if there’s anything noteworthy change in the new beat 6 of macOS 27, I will talk about it in a separate post. Until then, make sure your Mac is updated to the latest version of the beta.

If you’re interested in downloading macOS 27 developer beta, you can follow the tutorial posted here. Public beta testers can head over to this link.

I will recommend installing the public beta because it’s extremely easy to sign up for and install. The only downside is that it becomes available for download after the developer beta is released, which quite frankly isn’t a big deal at all.
