Developer beta 6 of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 are now officially available to download on compatible iPhone and iPad devices.
iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 Beta 6 Now Available for Download with More Stability and Performance Improvements
The time has finally come for you to download iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 beta 6 over the air, especially if you’ve been testing out developer beta 5.
With the new beta, you can expect more stability and performance related improvements across the board, which is why you should follow these steps and get started immediately:
- Make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi and have 50% or more battery life remaining.
- Launch the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Navigate to General > Software Update.
- Tap on the Update Now button underneath the iOS 27 / iPadOS 27 beta 6 update.
The update may take a while to download and install, which is normal for developer and public betas. Speaking of which, the public beta with the same changes as developer beta 6 of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 should become available for download soon, usually the next day.
If there’s anything noteworthy in this update, maybe a change that immediately stands out, I will highlight it in a new list post for both iPhone and iPad.
If you’re interested in taking the developer beta of iOS 27 or iPadOS 27 for a spin, you will find the tutorial posted here.
I will suggest downloading the public beta instead, since it is much easier to sign up for. You’ll find the tutorial for it posted here.
