macOS 27 Golden Gate is official, the first developer beta of it is available for download, and life is suddenly moving at a faster pace. And, in the middle of that, if you squint a little, you’ll notice that the new desktop OS ships with a new wallpaper too.
Apple had a very glass-like look with the macOS 26 Tahoe wallpaper, but with Golden Gate, they’re going for a more silky aesthetics. Do I prefer it? Well, it’s something new, and definitely a welcome change.
As usual, there are two wallpapers to choose from – a light one, and a dark one. Depending on the sort of setup you’re going for, you may put up either one on your desktop.
Given the size of both wallpapers, you’re really not limited to using them on your Mac only. You can crop in and use them on your iPhone and iPad as well. They actually look good on smaller screens.
