The watchOS 27 software update is now official, and here are all the Apple Watch models that are compatible with it.
Official watchOS 27 Compatibility List Published by Apple, Lots of Devices Lose Support this Year
Beyond fitness tracking, the Apple Watch is a life-changing device for many users out there. With watchOS 27, your Apple Watch gets even better, and if you’re interested, you can read about all the new features coming to your Apple Watch here.
Right here, I’m going to give you a list of all the Apple Watch models that are currently compatible with watchOS 27. Here is the full list, and it’s carnage this year:
- Apple Watch SE 3
- Apple Watch Series 10
- Apple Watch Series 11
- Apple Watch Ultra 2
- Apple Watch Ultra 3
If you haven’t noticed already, everything released before the Apple Watch Series 10 has lost support this year. Even the Apple Watch Ultra 1 has lost support this year, which is absolutely wild.
Do keep one thing in mind; even if your Apple Watch supports the new watchOS 27 update, you won’t be able to install it unless your iPhone supports iOS 27. It has been like that since forever, and Apple hasn’t changed anything this year either.
I will highly recommend investing in a brand new Apple Watch if yours just lost support. Something like an Apple Watch SE 3 starts at just $249, and it has all the features you need for the full watchOS experience.
Even if you go for the cheapest SE model, you’ll get years and years of support before Apple decides to give up. In fact, your device will need a new battery first before it loses software support. You can’t say that about any other smartwatch at all.
