Apple Releases First Beta of iOS 26.6, macOS 26.6, watchOS 26.6, and More for Developers

Believe it or not, Apple’s WWDC26 is just under a couple of weeks away. But that doesn’t mean Apple is done with the current version 26 lineup of its software.

Just a while ago, Apple released the first beta of iOS 26.6, iPadOS 26.6, and other updates. If you’re a registered developer with Apple, you can download everything and take it for a spin before everyone else.

Once you’ve signed up to the developer program, you can enable the developer beta on your device by going to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates. Select the developer beta option from there, and then download the beta from Software Update.

I’m sure these updates will become available for public beta testers as well in the coming days. For now, the updates are available for developers only.

In case you’re wondering, these are the build numbers of everything Apple released:

  • iOS 26.6 and iPadOS 26.6 beta – build number 23G5028e
  • macOS 26.6 beta – build number 25G5028f
  • watchOS 26.6 beta – build number 23U5025e
  • tvOS 26.6 beta – build number 23L5729e
  • visionOS 26.6 beta – build number 23O5728e

If there’s anything noteworthy in this update, I will highlight it in a separate post. For now, it seems as though this update focuses on stability and other under-the-hood improvements.
