In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Apple CEO Tim Cook shows off a handful of rare Apple product prototypes.

Tim Cook Shares Rare Prototypes, Talks About his Favorite Apple Moment, and More in New Interview

Apple held its 50th anniversary celebrations yesterday with the special Paul McCartney concert at Apple Park. Apart from that, Tim Cook gave an interview to The Wall Street Journal in which he gave everyone a rare look at Apple product prototypes.

The thing that really got my attention is the Apple Watch prototype. It’s basically a huge logic board on which a small screen and other components like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi antennas are attached. It almost feels like a gadget out of a movie.

The finished product, which was released back in 2015, has all those components crammed into a sleek package. It’s the most impressive thing you’ll ever see.

Of course, the video is not about Apple Watch, and you’ll get to have a look at one of the early iPods as well, alongside the first patent document for the Apple II. It’s a gold mine of a video.

Tim Cook also talks about his favorite moment in Apple history, and without a doubt, it’s the iPhone launch. He gets enthusiastic when talking about it, and I recommend checking out the video below. It’s just 7 minutes long, and it is probably the best thing you’ll watch today:

Tim Cook doesn’t share anything related to stepping down, or who is going to replace him, although the name John Ternus keeps on popping up from time to time. But I understand that Apple does not want to share its future plans, and that includes upcoming products as well.
