Apple has officially launched Tap to Pay in Singapore, allowing businesses to use iPhone as a contactless payment terminal.

Tap to Pay Support Rolling Out in Singapore, More Services Will be Supported Next Year

Tap to Pay has been slowly rolling out around the globe since 2022, and now it is rolling out in Singapore as well.

Apple has announced that Tap to Pay will be initially supported by the following services: Adyen, Fiuu, HitPay, Revolut, Stripe, and Zoho.

Earlier next year, Tap to Pay will become available on Grab as well, ensuring most bases are covered when it comes to payment.

With Tap to Pay, businesses can use an iPhone as a contactless payment terminal, and it uses NFC to work. Just tap your debit or credit card on an iPhone, or use Apple Pay to make the payment, it’s as simple as that.

As you’d expect, it’s secure, encrypted, and Apple can’t see your financial information at all, ensuring everything stays private.

You need an iPhone XS or higher in order to use Tap to Pay as a contactless payment terminal.
