A new report says that Apple has delayed the launch of iPhone Air 2 ‘indefinitely’ and the company hasn’t given any new release date for it.
iPhone Air 2 Release has been Indefinitely Delayed and Apple Hasn’t Told Engineers and Suppliers When it Will Launch
According to The Information, Apple has told its suppliers and engineers that the iPhone Air 2 has been delayed indefinitely, and the company hasn’t given a new release date for it either.
Many reports say that the current iPhone Air has performed exceptionally poor in sales compared to iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro models. Due to this reason, Apple might be rethinking its strategy.
However, I have a different take on this.
I believe Apple is making room for the iPhone 18 Pro and its folding iPhone instead. Reports say that Apple is going to launch the standard iPhone 18 later and will launch the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone Air 2, and folding iPhone at the end of 2026.
Instead of making the second half of the year super crowded and losing the folding iPhone in all the noise, it makes sense for Apple to move it to the next year alongside the standard iPhone 18 model. And it makes perfect sense too.
