Well, the M5 iPad Pro has been thoroughly leaked and unboxed on video. This wasn’t on my bingo card at all.

Apple’s Upcoming M5 iPad Pro Gets the Unboxing Treatment on YouTube Way Ahead of Official Announcement

The M5 iPad Pro should be here soon, but we have no idea when. However, a Russian YouTube channel called Wylsacom got hold of the 13-inch model with the M5 chip inside it and decided to do an early unboxing.

Right off the bat, the design is absolutely the same, except that it doesn’t say it’s an iPad Pro behind the tablet itself. This is something that may change when the tablet actually starts to ship commercially.

But it’s an interesting choice from Apple if they’re removing the branding and going for a cleaner look.

In case you’re wondering if the guy doing the unboxing looks familiar, you’ve already seen him before. He did the early unboxing of the 14-inch MacBook Pro before it was even announced.

There is a bunch of information shared in the video, especially regarding the M5 chip. I’m going to cover that in a separate article, and talk about how it does in benchmark apps like Geekbench 6, so stay tuned for that.

Given that we are seeing the unboxing of this tablet right now, it seems as though Apple is likely going to announce this iPad Pro this month. After all, Apple does hold a small event in October, so there’s a high chance the M5 version of iPad Pro will get some airtime at that.
