Today, Apple has released developer beta 8 of macOS 26 Tahoe for the Mac, and it’s important that you download it right away.
Download and Install macOS 26 Tahoe Developer Beta 8 with Bug Fixes and Performance Enhancements
The eighth developer beta of macOS 26 Tahoe is here. This update is packed with more refinements across the board, and it will keep getting better as we move closer to the final release.
If you’re currently on macOS 26 Tahoe beta 7, make sure you download beta 8 by following these steps:
- Launch System Settings on your Mac.
- Click on General in the list of options on the left.
- Find Software Update on the right and click on it to open.
- Let the page refresh and you’ll see developer beta 8 of macOS 26 in a bit. Click on Update Now next to it.
The new update carries the following build number: 25A5349a
Anyone can test out macOS 26 beta right now. You can either download the developer beta or the public beta.
Apple might have sneaked in a change or two in this update. If it’s worth highlighting, I will do it in a separate post.
