Apple’s future roadmap reveals that it is working on seven different head-mounted products, with the first launch happening in 2025.

From M5 Vision Pro to XR Glasses, Apple’s is Working on 7 Head-Mounted Products for Launch in the Next Few Years

It’s no secret that Apple is working on smart glasses, and hopes to take things up a notch with advanced augmented reality glasses in the future.

However, if information shared by Ming-Chi Kuo is anything to go by, we’re in for a slick ride packed with 7 head-mounted products from Apple, with the first one launching in 2025.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple sees “head-mounted devices as the next major trend in consumer electronics.”

The first head-mounted product is going to be the M5 Vision Pro, which is set to be released in the Q3 of 2025. Apart from the processor, nothing will change, not even the design.

Apple is also working on the Vision Air, which will weigh 40% less, use plastic and a magnesium alloy body, feature a processor that powers an iPhone, and will have far less sensors compared to Vision Pro. This headset will launch in Q3 of 2027.

A second-generation Vision Pro with a faster processor, a new and lighter design, and a lower price tag will launch in the second half of 2028.

Apple’s fair pair of Meta-style glasses will make their debut in the second quarter of 2027 and they’re be similar in functionality to the Meta glasses too.

Apple is working on two XR smart glasses ,and they will probably be available some time in 2028, though unclear. These will have Liquid Crystal on Silicon display and waveguide technology.

Last but not least, Apple is working on a display accessory which will work tethered with a device like iPhone. There’s a probability it will work with the Mac too, but again, it’s unclear. The launch date of this device is unclear, and it’s likely the same accessory Apple stopped working on a while back.

Needless to say, the next few years are going to be extremely exciting for Apple fans.
