Meta has just released WhatsApp for iPad and it is now available for download straight from the App Store.
WhatsApp Updated for iPad, Now Takes Full Advantage of the Large Display – Download it for Free Today
This is not a rumor, nor a beta, nor some teaser post on social media. It’s the real deal.
WhatsApp for iPad is finally available for download from the App Store, as announced by the official WhatsApp account over at Threads.
Just like the iPhone version, you can interact with all your contacts, send them photos, videos, location, share status updates, and so much more.
With this update, you don’t have to pick up your iPhone in order to check on a WhatsApp conversation or message; just continue the conversation right from your iPad, the way it should have been.
If you ever had ambitions of using iPad as your primary device, and the missing piece of the puzzle was WhatsApp, then today’s release should bridge the gap a little more.
Though WhatsApp has been available on the web for a long time, nothing beats the experience of a full-blown app. This means you’ll get proper notifications right on your iPad, just like you would on iPhone.
A web app simply can’t offer the experience which a proper app does.
Since this is the first-ever release of the app on iPad, there is a chance you might encounter a bug or two. But don’t worry, usually such things are fixed immediately.
Focus more on using WhatsApp on your favorite iPad than anything else today. It’s a big win for Apple device users around the world.
Also, the official WhatsApp app is available for download on the Mac as well. Launch the Mac App Store and search for ‘WhatsApp’, and you’ll see it immediately.
