Finally, WhatsApp for iPad has entered its beta stage and is available for download for TestFlight users.
WhatsApp Now Available for iPad, but in Beta and You Can’t Test it Out Because Slots are Full
Since this is a beta, it’s not available on the App Store. But it is available for everyone and anyone who are willing to test it out on their iPad.
In order to do that, you need to download the TestFlight app on your iPad first from the App Store. Once that is installed, you’re ready for the next step.
The next step is to tap on this link from your iPad. Once you do that, follow the on-screen steps and WhatsApp will install on your iPad.
Do keep in mind, since this is a beta, you can expect it to be very unstable when it comes to daily usage, and that’s completely normal.
The beta expires in 90 days, after which you won’t be able to use it. If there are updates available for the beta, make sure you install them on time if you want to keep using WhatsApp on iPad.
It’s a rule set by Apple. Developers have to constantly push updates for the beta in order to keep them up and running.
Beta slots are always limited and are likely to fill up fast. I won’t be surprised if none of my readers get a chance to test out the beta at all. In fact, I didn’t sign up for it because I want someone else to take the slot and try out the beta.
In terms of features, all the basic functionality is there in WhatsApp with the most important one being the ability to send messages and photos. You can expect new features to arrive as time goes by.
