Apple TV users around the world can download the full and final version of the tvOS 27 update, which was announced back in June.
tvOS 27 Now Available to Download with Video Podcasts, Improved Animations, Liquid Glass Refinements, and More
It is safe to assume that Apple is a little secretive about the tvOS 27 update. Even the update does have some meaningful features, but clearly, it is being held back by the currently available Apple TV hardware.
Nonetheless, the final version of tvOS 27 is now available for download. The RC version of the update was released a week ago, and this is the same update that is now available for everyone else around the world.
In order to download the tvOS 27 update immediately, here’s what you have to do on your Apple TV:
- Launch the Settings app from the Apple TV Home Screen.
- Scroll all the way down and open System.
- Here you’ll see an option called Software Updates. Open it.
- Now open Update Software.
- After a few seconds you’ll see a prompt telling you that a new software update is available. Select Download and Install.
According to Apple, the new tvOS 27 update has the following build number: 24J360
Again, you won’t find anything groundbreaking here, but if you love your podcasts in video format, you’ll be pleased to learn that they’re now here after a long, long time since they were officially announced for Apple Podcasts.
There’s definitely more to tvOS 27, and I have a feeling the new Apple TV hardware will even bring Siri AI to the big screen. Even though Apple just had an event showcasing the new iPhones, the company is definitely not done, and a refreshed Apple TV seems very likely.
