The MacBook Neo is an overnight success among first-time Mac buyers, and it’s been so good, the company has decided to double its production.
Apple Boosts its Initial Production of MacBook Neo from 5 Million to 10 Million Units to Meet Increasing Demand
Don’t get me wrong, the MacBook Neo is not a one-off product. Apple has been eyeing the entry-level market for a long time, and the MacBook Neo is the product that fills that void that has been empty for a long time by Apple.
However, Apple did not realize how successful the Neo would be. In fact, Tim Cook shared on social media that the Neo is a hit among first-time Mac buyers. And, with passing time, the cheaper Mac has only turned into a runaway success.
Now, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has shared something interesting, that highlights how good the MacBook Neo is performing in the market. According to him, Apple had a target of producing 5 million units after launch, but now it has doubled it to 10 million to catch up with the high demand.
Even though there are a bunch of competing products out there that undercut or match the MacBook Neo, but nothing comes close to the software and hardware finesse that Apple is offering with its product.
Do keep in min that this is the first version of the MacBook Neo. With time, it will keep on getting better as faster chips and improved manufacturing techniques are introduced.
