The upcoming iPhone 18 Pro Max, despite having a larger battery, will have the same thickness as the current iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Latest Rumor Says that Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro Max Smartphone Will Keep Same Thickness as iPhone 17 Pro Max

According to leaker Ice Universe on Weibo, Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro Max will have the same thickness as the current iPhone 17 Pro Max. The interesting thing is how the newer iPhone will have a bigger battery as well, but since Apple is going to change the internal design a little, the thickness will remain unchanged this year.

In case you’re wondering, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is 8.75mm thick, which is definitely on the bulky side, especially when you realize that the iPhone Air is 5.6mm thick.

But the good news is that Apple is not going to change the thickness of the new iPhone and keep it same as before. However, do keep in mind that it may be a heavier device due to that larger battery.

The leaker also says that since Apple is focusing more on the iPhone Ultra, the folding version of the iPhone, therefore changing the design and thickness of the iPhone 18 Pro lineup is not Apple’s priority.

If you were worried that the iPhone would get bulkier this year, then this report should cool things down. However, do keep in mind that this is just a rumor, and the final thickness and dimensions could be slightly different, so it’s a good idea to take this with a grain of salt.
