A new leak claims to reveal the list of devices that will support the upcoming iOS 27 update, and the iPhone 11 won’t be included.

iPhone 11 and iPhone SE 2 will Lose Software Support this Year, Full List of iOS 27 Compatible iPhones Models Leaked Online

In a couple of months at WWDC26, Apple is going to show the world what iOS 27 looks like. We’re definitely getting the new Siri with the update, along with news on which devices will be supported by iOS 27.

Turns out, we don’t have to wait until June at all, because according to leaked information shared on Weibo, we know which iPhones will be compatible with iOS 27.

According to the leaked information, the iPhone 11 will drop support for the new update completely. This also means the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max won’t be receiving the new updates.

Not only that, the second-generation iPhone SE will also lose support for new software update this year.

The full list of iPhones compatible with iOS 27 will be as follows, if you exclude upcoming iPhone 18 and iPhone Fold models:

  • iPhone SE 3
  • iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max
  • iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max
  • iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max
  • iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max
  • iPhone 16e, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max
  • iPhone 17e, iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max
  • iPhone Air

While iPhone 11 and iPhone SE 2 losing support may sound like bad news, do keep in mind that Apple keeps on releasing security updates for unsupported devices for years to come. If you were planning to hold on to the aforementioned devices and were worried about things on the security end, you’ll be fine for years to come.

It will be a massive surprise if Apple doesn’t drop support for any iPhone at all. After all, iOS 27 is said to be a huge bug-fix update with less focus on new features. If Apple manages to keep the iPhone 11 and iPhone SE 2 around for another year, it will be a huge treat. But that seems highly unlikely, given how old these devices are now.
