Apple has released a new firmware update – build 8A358 – for AirPods 4, AirPods Pro 3 and AirPods Pro 2.

Firmware 8A358 for AirPods 4 and AirPods Pro 3 and 2 Now Available for Download, Likely Just Bug Fixes

If you own the AirPods 4, AirPods Pro 3, or the AirPods Pro 2, a new firmware update is available for download.

Version 8A358 is currently rolling out for users around the world for the above mentioned AirPods only, and you can force the update onto your AirPods by following the steps outlined here.

At the time of writing, it seems like the new AirPods firmware brings nothing new to the table. This means it is likely a bug-fix release, something that is extremely important for AirPods users.

Apple released firmware 8A356 for AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4 a while back as well. That update was a big one, because it brought the new features from WWDC 2025 to AirPods, such as the ability to record high quality audio, and use AirPods as a camera shutter
