New details surrounding iPadOS 19 have emerged, and it is rumored to get two important features.

iPadOS 19 will Bring a Mac-like Menu Bar to iPad and Enhanced Multitasking with Stage Manager 2.0

All reports say iPadOS 19 is going to be a big update. From a full UI revamp to a more Mac-like experience, iPad users are finally getting the feature update they have been asking for.

A new rumor posted by Majin Bu says that Apple is working on bringing two important features to iPad with iPadOS 19.

The first feature is a Mac-like menu bar at the top which will give users far more control over the apps they are working on, allowing everyone to access important stuff without digging deep into different menus.

The second feature is Stage Manager 2.0 which is an enhanced version of window-style multitasking that is available right now.

With this report, I’ve come to realize you can instantly ruin something good by simply giving it the Stage Manager name. Hopefully, version 2.0 is going to be an entirely different implementation.

I’m assuming Stage Manager 2.0 will offer more control over how apps sit on top of each other and how they can be resized or adjusted. Currently, the user has to adapt to the UI, not the other way around.

Another important thing to note here is this: the above mentioned features will likely work with Magic Keyboard only.

I think of the iPad as a very difficult and slow computer. It definitely gets work done, don’t get me wrong, but it’s just not as fast as macOS.

Hopefully, iPadOS 19 is going to change things for the better, and I want this rumor to be true. If it isn’t, I’m going to stick with my MacBook Air for another year until things are sorted out.
