The latest iOS 19 rumor says that the iPhone is getting Stage Manager support when connected to an external display.

Apple Wants to Turn Your iPhone into a Computer with Stage Manager Support in iOS 19

Majin Bu is on a roll right now. Apart from the news that the menu bar and Stage Manager 2.0 is coming to iPadOS 19, the leaker says iOS 19 is bringing something big to iPhone too.

According to him, iOS 19 is going to add Stage Manager support to iPhone.

What this means is, when you connect your iPhone to an external display, you will get a Stage Manager-like experience on the bigger display. Or, in other words, your iPhone will turn into a computer.

Apparently, this feature is only going to be limited to iPhones with a USB-C port. But I’m going to assume that we can narrow it to down to devices that only support feature like Apple Intelligence, or iPhone 15 Pro and up.

I’m sure Apple is not going to bring the full iPad-like Stage Manager experience to the iPhone, because that would start eating into the iPad lineup.

I believe Apple will allow users to run several iPhone apps on the screen at the same time, rather than giving them an iPad-like app experience. This will ensure that a fine line between iPhone and iPad stays there.

No matter how Apple implements this, it’s going to be a very useful feature for those who want to carry one device that does it all.
