You can instantly translate any string of text to the language of your choice right on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

iOS, iPadOS and macOS Makes Translating Text Extremely Easy – No Need to Launch the Built-in Translate App Either

No, I’m not talking about the built-in Translate app, which by the way, is a great way to translate stuff from one language to the other.

While the app is great and all, there is one problem with it: it’s not ’instant.’ You have to select the text you want to translate, copy it, launch the Translate app, paste the text into it and so on.

In iOS, iPadOS and macOS, there is a quicker way to translate text and I’m sure a lot of people don’t use this feature at all.

iOS and iPadOS

Just select any string of text which you want to translate and then tap on Translate in the list of available options for the selected text.

iOS and iPadOS will instantly show you the translation, and you have the choice to do a bunch of stuff, including the ability to choose any other language, copy the translation and more.

macOS

Just like iOS and iPadOS, select the text you want to translate, right-click on it, then click on Translate.

By default, the text will be translated to Spanish, but you can select any other language of your choice too.

I’m certain a lot of users don’t know about this feature at all and believe they have to copy the text and paste it into another app to get the translation done, including Google Translate.

iOS, iPadOS and macOS make things extremely easy when it comes to such a basic thing.
