iOS 18.5 and iPadOS 18.5 public beta 2 for iPhone and iPad is now available to download and you can install it right away.
Download and Install iOS 18.5 and iPadOS 18.5 Public Beta 2 on Your iPhone and iPad Today
Apple released the third developer beta of iOS 18.5 yesterday and the same build is now available for public beta testers as well.
If you are currently running any public beta of iOS 18.5 or iPadOS 18.5 on your device, I highly recommend downloading the latest version now.
In order to do that, follow these steps:
- Connect your device to Wi-Fi.
- Launch the Settings app.
- Go to General > Software Update.
- Tap on Update Now.

If you don’t want to read any of that, it’s fine. All you have to do is head over to beta.apple.com, sign up using your Apple Account, and then enable public beta updates by going to Settings > General > Software Updates > Beta Updates.
Select iOS 18 Public Beta from here, and the 18.5 update will show right up in Software Update.
Do keep in mind that software version 18.5 for iPhone and iPad doesn’t add any new feature at all. These updates focus on fixing bugs and improving performance only.
I recommend skipping the beta update completely and just wait for the final version to arrive in a few weeks’ time.
