Apple’s iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 developer beta 5 updates for iPhone and iPad are now available for download immediately.
iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 Developer Beta 5 Now Available for Download with More Improvements on iPhone and iPad
It’s been way over two weeks since beta 4 was released by Apple, and now it’s time we can all download and install developer beta 5 on our iPhones and iPads.
Assuming you do have the previous beta installed, downloading the latest one is a simple case of tapping a few times in the correct order on your display. Basically, this is what you have to do:
- Make sure your iPhone and iPad has 50% or more battery. If not, connect to a power source.
- Connect to a stable and fast Wi-Fi network.
- Now launch the Settings app.
- Go to General > Software Update.
- Tap on Update Now when you see developer beta 5.
If you are testing iOS 27 or iPadOS 27 public beta instead, the above update will become available to you either later today, or tomorrow.
When we’re this deep into the lifecycle of a beta software, Apple starts focusing on stability and adding polish to the update rather than add or remove features. But it’s not uncommon for Apple to make extremely small changes in the operating system before the final version of it becomes available.
What I’m trying to say is, if there’s anything noteworthy in this update, I will highlight it in a separate blog post, so be on a lookout for that.
