The alleged first-ever image of the iPhone Fold (Ultra?) has been shared online, and it shows off the device in the white color option.

First Image of Apple’s Upcoming iPhone Fold Prototype Shared Online, Shows Off Device in a White Finish

Apple is definitely going to release a folding iPhone this year, and there’s too much news floating around to prove its behind-the-scenes existence. And, to add more fuel to the already-lit fire, an alleged photo of the device has been shared online today.

The image comes from Ice Universe on the social platform Weibo, and it shows the iPhone Fold in white. The device is claimed to be a prototype, and there are no details apart from that.

The iPhone Fold is said to be available in two color options – white and black. I’m only going to assume that the black version is going to be some shade of dark gray, and I can only hope that I’m wrong here, because this device deserves to be available in a fantastic all-black finish.

It’s unclear what the folding iPhone will end up being called as well. Recent murmuring shared online said that the iPhone Fold could end up being called the iPhone Ultra instead.

With two cameras at the back, and apparently a handful of compromise to make the device happen, I’m not sure how Apple allots the ‘Ultra’ name to a device. But I do know this: it will shape the foldable market going forward.
