iOS 27 will bring a standalone Siri AI chatbot app to iPhone, and it will give users an option to automatically delete conversation history.

Apple Remains Committed to Privacy with Upcoming Siri AI Chatbot App in iOS 27 by Allowing Users to Auto-Delete Conversation History

Apple puts privacy at the top of everything, and many reports have said that it will be the case with the new Gemini-powered Siri as well. A new report by Bloomberg further reaffirms this.

The report talks about an interesting feature in the standalone Siri chatbot app in iOS 27 which will allow users to set whether or not they want their conversations with AI automatically deleted. This ensures an extra layer of privacy and security among users.

It’s worth noting already that the new Siri, even though powered by the Gemini AI model, won’t run on Google’s servers. Instead, everything will be processed and run on Apple’s Private Cloud Compute, which means Google won’t be able to track your conversations either.

The report also says that the new Siri will launch with a beta label on it, which is quite understandable since it is making its debut on beta software at first – iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 at WWDC26. But, how long the new AI-powered Siri stays in beta remains to be seen.

In the day and age where people are casually handing over their entire computers to AI, and handing out credit card information to buy tickets, those who want complete control over privacy should look forward to this feature next month.
