A new report sheds light on the color options the iPhone 18 Pro lineup will be available in, and we might get a red one this year.

Turns out, the Cosmic Orange color is very popular among buyers. It doesn’t really come as a surprise either because you see this color everywhere. It’s almost like people don’t know about the other two colors at all.
According to Mark Gurman in his latest edition of the PowerOn newsletter, Apple might keep the Cosmic Orange color this year as well. What this means is, you will be able to buy the iPhone 18 Pro in everyone’s favorite shade of orange in order to keep the trend going.
However, he goes on to say that Apple is also going to launch a new red color option. But there’s one problem: red and orange are very close to each other on the color wheel, which means we will likely get a darker shade of red with the new iPhone 18 Pro.
However this turns out to be, I miss having a red iPhone in the lineup. It had solid appeal and energy to it, which can’t be mimicked by any other color.
It’s worth knowing that Apple will not release the standard iPhone 18 model this year. Apple plans to roll out the iPhone different in 2026, and will start with the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the folding iPhone.
In fact, the report touches on the colors the folding iPhone will be available in. And it will skip fun colors entirely for two plain options – black and white.
