If you switch from Spotify or any other service to Apple Music, you get 3 months absolutely free and the ability to import your library.
Apple Offering Limited Time 3-Month Trial for New Apple Music Subscribers
Apple throws in a trial or a discount on Apple Music from time to time. If you have never ever subscribed to Apple Music, then there’s a 3-month trial waiting for you, and it’s absolutely free.
Basically, it’s a straightforward deal. You go right ahead and sign up for Apple Music and the company will give you a 3-month trial. However, if you have subscribed to Apple Music in the past, then this offer is not applicable to you.
Apple is also advertising the fact that you can transfer your music library from other services. On an iPhone or iPad, just go to Settings > Apps > Music, and then open Transfer Music from Other Music Services. Once here, you’ll be guided through the process of transferring your library to Apple Music.
Whether you want to do this or not depends entirely on you. The whole point of advertising this tool is to educate people that they can transfer their music library to Apple Music from another service without having to find each and every song manually.
Do keep in mind that it’s not guaranteed that every song will be available on Apple Music, if you’re coming from another service. If you have an extremely populated library, then chances are that some music will be left behind.
Apple says that you can redeem the 3-month free offer before 24th of February after which the offer will expire. Once the trial period is over, you have to pay $10.99 a month if you want to keep on listening to music.
You can redeem your offer by going to this link. You can either do it from the web or the official Music app.
You also get the option to subscribe as a student or get Apple Music as part of the Apple One plan in order to get the music subscription at a lower price.
Again, this isn’t the first time Apple is offering a 3-month trial. Such offers come and go on a regular basis. If you do miss this one, do know that something similar will pop up in the near future.
