A new report says that the M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro models will launch alongside the new macOS 26.3 Tahoe software update.
Apple is Reportedly Launching M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro Models Alongside macOS 26.3 Tahoe
You can go ahead and buy the M5 MacBook Pro straight from Apple, but you don’t get the option to choose the M5 Pro or M5 Max options. Those are coming later.
According to Mark Gurman in his latest PowerOn newsletter, the new MacBook Pro models with M5 Pro and M5 Max are going to launch alongside macOS 26.3 Tahoe.
Chances are high Apple is going to release macOS 26.3 Tahoe Release Candidate this week, with the full and final version all set for release a week later. If this does happen, then there is a chance Apple may soft launch the new MacBook Pro models this week.
With the launch of M5 Pro and M5 Max models, users will also be able to buy the 16-inch version of the MacBook Pro as well. Currently, the M5 chip is available in the 14-inch screen size.
If you’re asking me, this is not a good time to buy a MacBook Pro. Just hold back another week, and everything will be clear as day what Apple has in store.
Before I sign out, let me remind you of a code leak that suggested that Apple might launch the M5 Pro MacBook Pro with the C1 cellular modem inside. Imagine if that turns out to be true.
