M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro models are coming soon, but Apple is going to release the OLED model this year too.
Apple to Launch Two MacBook Pro Models this Year, M5 Pro and Max Models Launching Soon, OLED One Launching at the End of the Year
Apple releases a refreshed MacBook Pro model almost every year. But this time, Apple has split the release into two parts by launching the 14-inch M5 MacBook Pro in 2025, while the M5 Pro and M5 Max as well as the 16-inch models are set for release this year, and that too very soon.
A report from Bloomberg says that Apple is going to launch the OLED MacBook Pro this year as well, a notebook that has been rumored for launch for quite some time. You can expect the launch to happen before the end of 2026, according to the report.
At this point, you have to make a choice: should you get the M5 MacBook Pro, or wait for the new one with an OLED display? While it seems obvious that you should wait for the OLED MacBook Pro, there’s no telling how the notebook will be rolled out.
Given OLED is still premium technology on a notebook, there is a chance Apple might roll it out a bit differently. For example, Apple might start with the 16-inch model, which means the starting price alone will be on the higher side.
Rumors say that Apple’s OLED MacBook Pro might even feature a touch-screen display. Furthermore, a hole punch camera is also rumored to be part of the package, instead of a notch.
So, which notebook will you buy? The one with the M5 Pro or M5 Max, or wait till the end of the year to see what Apple has in store with the OLED model?
