A new report sheds light on the design of the upcoming iPhone 17e smartphone, and says it will have slightly thinner bezels.

iPhone 17e to Feature Same Display as iPhone 16e but with Thinner Bezels, and Likely Keep the Notch

Apple is not done with the iPhone 17 lineup just yet, with the low-cost iPhone 17e expected to be released early next year.

While the smartphone is said to feature the same display as the iPhone 16e, there are conflicting reports when it comes to its display.

For example, will the display feature a Dynamic Island or a notch?

According to TheElec, the iPhone 17e will feature the same display from the iPhone 14, but will have thinner bezels, most likely to increase its appeal to buyers.

The report also talks about BOE supplying most of the panels for the iPhone 17e, with LG and Samsung Display also chipping in at a small capacity.

But, the one thing the report does not talk about is whether or not the iPhone 17e will have a Dynamic Island or a notch. However, given the iPhone 17e is using the same display as the iPhone 14, the notch seems very likely.

After all, it makes sense too, especially if Apple wants to keep costs down and just use stuff from its parts bin.

The one thing we can definitely expect is a faster A19 processor, which I’m assuming is going to be a binned version of the one found in the iPhone 17, just with a core or two less.

Other things expected are the N1 wireless chip and the C1X, which makes sense at this point, given the amount of effort Apple has started to put into its own chips.
