Apple is going to release its first folding iPhone in 2026, and an analyst says the price may hit $2,399, which is certainly not cheap.

Are You Ready to Pay Premium for the Folding iPhone? Analyst Expects the Price to Touch $2,399

The folding iPhone is a product a lot are excited about, because it will be the first time Apple will dive into the world of foldables, even though it may not be to the taste of each and every single person.

And, to create such a device, Apple is going to use technologies that sit on the premium side of the fence, with a folding display without a visible crease being one of them.

Keeping that in mind, Arthur Liao at Fubon Research believes Apple’s folding iPhone could cost up to $2,399. Definitely a premium product, and not for everyone.

But, this isn’t the first time someone has talked about its pricing, even Ming-Chi Kuo believes Apple’s folding iPhone could start at a price of $2,300 and go beyond that once you start adding more storage to it.

Despite its high price, Fubon believes Apple is going to sell up to 5.4 million units in 2026 alone. That’s a very ambitious sales forecast given how expensive the folding iPhone is set out to be.

However, keeping in mind how much other foldables cost, with many options like the Samsung Galaxy Fold 7 sitting in the $1,999 range, then Apple shouldn’t have any problem selling its own, even if it costs just a little more.

As someone who remains unfazed by folding devices, I am actually looking forward to what Apple is working on. Because so far everyone has sold the same idea – a phone that turns into a tablet by unfolding it, and a tablet that turns into a phone when closed down.

Is that really it? I really hope Apple doesn’t take the same route as well, else I’m happy taking my 11-inch iPad Pro with me everywhere.
