New information regarding the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max says that Apple is ditching the two-tone look next year.

iPhone 18 Pro will Ditch the Two-Tone Look Apple Introduced with the iPhone 17 Pro Thanks to a New Manufacturing Process

Apple went for a two-tone look with the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. While the body of the smartphone is made from a single piece of aluminum, it has a glass portion on the back that makes room for wireless charging. Hence, the two-tone look.

With iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, Apple is hoping to get rid of the look by using a manufacturing process that blends aluminum and glass together seamlessly, ending up with a more unified look, according to leaker Instant Digital.

Given how far the launch of the iPhone 18 Pro lineup is, it’s hard to say if this rumor is legit. Since we have a long way to go and plenty of rumors and reports to look forward to, I’m sure someone out there will prove or debunk today’s rumor.

Previous reports say that Apple is planning to launch the iPhone 18 Pro and the folding iPhone at the end of 2026, while the standard model along with iPhone 18e and iPhone Air 2 may launch in early 2027.
